In the 1880 Census for the United States William H. Hindmarsh is shown as a "Butcher" living in Geneva, New York, Ontario aged 25 years (born circa 1855 in New York).    He is living with with his widowed, mother, Elizabeth, who is aged 55 years (born circa 1825 in England).   It seems likely that Elizabeth married her husband between 1845 - 1855, possibly in England and emigrated sometime prior to 1855.   More research is necessary to link this family with the UK Branch.
