The Alnwick Branch of the Hindmarsh Family (both Branch 9 and 22) is one of the largest groups and it seems likely that a number of the other branches are directly linked to it, including the Alne Bank Branch, No3, the Raft Makers Branch, No4, the Cheviot Branch, No5, Alwinton Branch, No 6, and, inter alia, the Stockholm Branch No 11. There is also a distaff link through Prudence Bellasis (wife of Luke Hindmarsh - Oct 1726) with the Wallsend and Long Benton Branch (No 8).
